{"id":990952,"date":"2026-02-27T12:33:38","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T12:33:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/massirinvest.com\/table-portfolio\/techno-economic-assessment-of-the-clean-beaches-program\/"},"modified":"2026-06-25T11:59:27","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T11:59:27","slug":"techno-economic-assessment-of-the-clean-beaches-program","status":"publish","type":"references","link":"https:\/\/massirinvest.com\/en\/table-portfolio\/techno-economic-assessment-of-the-clean-beaches-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Techno-economic assessment of the &#8220;Clean Beaches&#8221; program"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"vgblk-rw-wrapper limit-wrapper\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Context<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, a leader in environmental awareness and education, coastal preservation, and the protection of Moroccan beaches, commissioned Massir Invest to conduct a multidimensional assessment of Clean Beaches, engaging local stakeholders through a participatory co-construction approach.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Scope \/ Methodology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The intervention was structured according to the following methodology:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collection, analysis, and evaluation of existing documentation related to beach management and broader coastal protection, including an analysis of the legislative and regulatory framework applicable to beach management, a synthesis of strategies, programs, and initiatives affecting beaches, the identification of key techno-economic challenges related to Moroccan beach management, the identification of key environmental issues, and stakeholder mapping.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conducting an international benchmarking study on beach management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Execution of a detailed multidimensional assessment of a sample of 30 beaches, most representative of the 118 beaches in the Clean Beaches program, including a spatio-functional, environmental, socio-economic, organizational, and governance analysis of each sampled beach. This assessment is based on field missions and syndication meetings with various stakeholders across the Kingdom&#8217;s 9 coastal regions. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of a national status report, featuring a synthesis of key findings by assessment dimension (environment, infrastructure and mobility, public services, beach usage and enhancement, governance), their categorization, and the identification of factors for scaling up to the program&#8217;s 118 beaches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of a recommendation plan for each beach in the sample and extrapolation to the national level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Results \/ Outputs \/ Deliverables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Report on the collection, analysis, and evaluation of existing documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International benchmarking report on beach management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30 multidimensional assessment reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National status report<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recommendation plan per beach and national extrapolation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Summary report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Value for the Client<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following this mission, the Foundation has a consolidated, multidimensional, and updated vision of the actual state of the program&#8217;s beaches, going beyond simple operational field reports.
